Three teenage boys lost their lives when a barn wall collapsed in Goth Abdul Hai Sadaiyo, a village in Jacobabad, rescue officials confirmed on Wednesday.

According to rescue authorities, the deceased boys were between 12 and 15 years of age. The incident occurred when a strong wall of a cattle enclosure suddenly gave way, trapping the children under debris.

Police said the collapse was triggered by severe weather conditions, including strong winds and heavy rain that swept through the area earlier in the day. The sudden storm reportedly weakened the structure, causing it to fall without warning.

Locals rushed to the scene immediately after the incident and attempted to pull the victims out from the rubble before emergency teams arrived. However, all three boys were declared dead due to severe injuries sustained in the collapse.

Rescue teams later shifted the bodies to a nearby medical facility for legal and medical formalities. Authorities said an investigation has been initiated to assess the structural condition of the building and determine whether negligence or poor construction standards contributed to the tragedy.

Officials also noted that seasonal weather disturbances have increased risks in rural areas, particularly where weak infrastructure is exposed to heavy rainfall and windstorms.

The incident has raised concerns among residents about the safety of basic rural structures during extreme weather events, with calls for improved building standards and preventive measures to avoid similar losses in the future.
